A TKDA-CE build for your SDK exposes a C++ object-oriented
programming model through a DLL (dynamic link library).
The DLL implements the OPC DA server interfaces
and provides functionality that is common to all OPC servers.
Your application then links to the DLL to
create an out of process OPC data access server.
TKDA-CE is based on our field-proven and robust
OPC DA Server
Toolkit for Windows desktop operating
systems (98/NT/2000/XP).
If you are familiar with our desktop
operating system toolkit programming model, there is nothing
new to learn.
The TKDA-CE programming model is identical, so you can start planning your
development today! Download a free
evaluation
version of the desktop OS toolkit today to get
started.

Reference Manual (Adobe PDF V4.0+) or download a

Desktop and CE versions of the toolkit have identical programming
models (support for OPC COM Call Tracing is not included in the
initial release of TKDA-CE). Design your
server's source code to be portable between Windows CE and Windows
desktop.
|
 |
With the source code version of TKDA-CE, build a toolkit DLL for
one or more of your platform specific SDKs.
|
 |
Toolkit DLLs (and other toolkit re-distributables) can be used
royalty free for any number of servers.
|
 |
Includes OPC enumerator for Windows CE (allows clients to browse
the CE node for installed servers).
|
 |
Includes OPC proxy/stub DLLs for Windows CE (required for
marshalling data between a client and your server).
