OPC Standard Compliant

The A&E Toolkit provides a complete implementation of the OPC Foundation's Alarms & Events Server specification (1.02 and 1.10). All specification methods and interfaces are supported.

Flexible

	All desktop 32-bit Windows platforms are supported (i.e. Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP).
	The toolkit can be linked to virtually any type of application (e.g. MFC, ATL, Win32, console, NT service).
	The toolkit is easily integrated with OPC Data Access servers, including those not created with Northern Dynamic's OPC DA Server Toolkit.

High Performance

Utilizes the COM free threaded model for optimum performance.

Built-In Features

	Provides built-in area namespace browsing. The ability for clients to browse the server area namespace is integral to the toolkit. No code development is required by the toolkit user to provide browsing support.
	Built-in run-time diagnostics. Detailed, multilevel client connection tracing and server performance statistics.
	The toolkit implements the condition state machine as defined by the specification, with additional capability for "ring-back" alarms.

	Free Threading
	Free threading maximizes performance and flexibility. If designed so, an OPC client may call any server object method function from any thread at any time.

	Built-In Diagnostics
